Guiding students into unfamiliar territory

Maker projects challenge students to combine classroom concepts with new skills like CNC fabrication, electronics design, welding, and java programming. Completing such projects has two side effects: reduced fear of tackling the unfamiliar, and the suspicion that one might be able to accomplish anything one puts one’s mind to. Choose a project below.
